Dolphins or other species listed below have been tagged with satellite-linked or VHF radio transmitters. They are tagged so we can remotely study their movements and collect other data.
By comparing maps you can see how the movements of the dolphins vary.
The tags relay data to the satellite on dive depth, dive duration, time spent at depth, and water temperature. The tags is attached by a single plastic pin to the trailing edge of the dorsal fin, they are designed to fall off after a prescribed period of time.
